Patient-centered research

DNC’s research is based on the needs of patients. Research and treatment are integrated, so that contact with patients and their relatives inspires new research, and new knowledge is quickly translated into improved diagnostic methods, prevention, and treatment.

Integration, collaboration, and translation

We are dedicated to creating results through collaboration across professional groups and institutions. Through translational research, we want to ensure that new fundamental scientific knowledge quickly benefits patients.

Interdisciplinarity and proximity

DNC’ new building brings together neuro clinicians, neuro researchers, and patients. This creates a physical framework that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, where diagnostics, basic disease research, and clinical treatment can strengthen and inspire each other.

International level and outlook

DNC is an active and prominent part of the global neuroscience network. We attract international talent, collaborate with leading research environments, and participate in multicenter studies and research collaborations across national borders.

Social contract

DNC will work for brain health in the broadest sense and contribute to the development of new knowledge that helps prevent brain diseases, as well as ensuring that diseases can be detected earlier and treated more effectively, so that patients retain as much quality of life as possible – in Denmark and internationally.
